Taislim Breaking News

I received this email this morning and have copied exactly as received:

"FreeLife International Presents Results of Successful Clinical Studies at Annual Obesity Society Meeting

PHOENIX, AZ – October 28, 2009 – FreeLife International recently presented the significant results of several human clinical studies on TAIslim™, its proprietary triple-patent pending liquid weight loss supplement, at the 27th Annual Scientific Meeting of The Obesity Society. This important conference, held in Washington, DC, brought together the world’s leading players in the field of obesity - from basic and clinical researchers and clinicians to educators, advocates, policy shapers and practitioners.

At the conference, FreeLife’s Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Haru Amagase presented research on the impact of TAIslim on weight management. He discussed TAIslim’s unique mode of action and the significant reductions in body weight, body mass index (BMI), waist and hip circumferences observed in several controlled human clinical studies. TAIslim was also found to cause significant improvements over placebo in blood pressure, fasting glucose levels and total body fat content. The formula was developed after weight loss benefits were noted in clinical studies on two other FreeLife supplements – GoChi® and Chi3 Energy, both of which are based on the Asian goji berry (Lycium barbarum).

FreeLife’s findings on TAIslim will be published in the respected journal Obesity. “These results are very interesting and promising,” remarked Dr. Marie-Pierre St-Onge, noted obesity research expert and Assistant Professor at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital and New York Obesity Research Center at Columbia University. She added, “The rise in energy expenditure (i.e., fat burning) with these goji-based products is interesting and suggests a mechanism by which they can assist in weight management.”

“Lycium barbarum is a very interesting herb,” stated Dr. Norman R. Farnsworth, world-renowned Professor of Pharmacognosy (study of plant-based medicines) at the University of Illinois at Chicago. “Clinical studies have shown multiple health benefits for humans, especially for general well-being, for immune-modulation and for its antioxidant effects. The medicinal properties of Lycium barbarum in traditional Asian medicine correlate well with recent scientific studies. It appears that the active compounds in Lycium barbarum are polysaccharides (LBP) on which the TAIslim product is standardized.”

FreeLife is the first company to perfect a difficult and demanding proprietary process and create the most highly standardized form of the goji berry available in the world today. According to FreeLife’s Dr. Amagase, “TAIslim is the only product on the market that combines standardized goji LBP with a proprietary blend of synergistic natural ingredients, and we believe that our research demonstrates great promise for those seeking safe, effective and sustainable weight control. We are honored to have the opportunity to share our significant study results with the best and brightest experts and scientists in obesity research.”

The TAIslim formula is a result of FreeLife’s continuing commitment to cutting edge science and human clinical research. With three patents pending, no other weight loss product can approach TAIslim’s exclusive formula, scientific innovation, or clinically demonstrated efficacy.

"CEO Message
What You Think About, and Thank About, You Bring About!
By Raymond J. Faltinsky, CEO & Co-Founder

Dear Friends,

As we closed our 2009 Convention in Phoenix, I shared a concept that I said if applied would have a more dramatic impact on your FreeLife business and your life than any other. A concept, that if you refer back to it and practice it, will help you achieve anything and everything you want in life. A concept that virtually all of the great philosophers, business leaders, and spiritual leaders spoke about consistently.

Since our event in September, I've received numerous requests to send out copies of that speech. What I've decided to do is make this topic my CEO letter this month.

Here is the concept:

“What you THINK about, and THANK about, you BRING about.”

Let’s explore the first part of that sentence: “What you THINK about.”

First, what do you think about? Do you know exactly what you want in FreeLife? Do you have your goals in writing?

If you have not done so already, set your goals tonight before you go to bed. Put them in writing.

The most successful people in the world put their goals in writing and know exactly what they want.

"What this power is I cannot say; all I know is that it exists and it becomes available only when a man is in that state of mind in which he knows exactly what he wants and is fully determined not to quit until he finds it."
– Alexander Graham Bell

“We all need lots of powerful long-range goals to help us past the short-term obstacles.”
– Jim Rohn

You need to understand there are going to be some obstacles along the way. So here is something to remember from Dr. John Demartini:

“The more down and out you've been, the more in and up you are destined to soar!”

I love the example of Michael Jordan. Many consider him the greatest basketball player of all time and he was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame. Here is the most amazing thing: he was cut from his high school basketball team! Yes, I know it seems ridiculous but it’s true. But he had a goal and was completely focused. In his acceptance speech for the Hall of Fame, Jordan stated to the coach who cut him: “I wanted to make sure you understood; you made a mistake, dude!”

So first, you need to have a goal and be passionate about it.

Second is to “THANK” about it. In a word: GRATITUDE. Gratitude is thankfulness.

“Focus on the flowers, not on the weeds!”
– Dr. John Demartini

We all have a tendency to focus on the weeds, instead of the flowers. We have a tendency to take things for granted. But change your thinking and you will change your life.

“Don’t look for opportunities in the far distances of space and time, but embrace them right where you are, because where you are already has the perfection and the balance.”
– Napoleon Hill

Jule of the Orient Video

Freelife is setting the standard again with Jule of the Orient containing Jiaogulan.

"Jiaogulan is a member of same family as cucumbers, melons, and gourds. It grows in five-leaf clusters, hence its botanical name, Gynostemma pentaphyllum. Jiaogulan has a long history of use in China, but is just now gaining popularity worldwide because of new scientific research supporting a wide range of health benefits that may very well eclipse that of any plant yet discovered. Jule of the Orient, Jiaogulan Announced today from Freelife International

JULE of the Orient!
What is jiaogulan?
Jiaogulan is a member of same family as cucumbers, melons, and gourds. In its native home in southern China, jiaogulan is so revered that it is called xiancao (“herb of immortality”).

Jiaogulan’s broad spectrum of biological effects can be explained by its status as a potent adaptogen. This rare class of herbs has the ability to bring balance to the body under a wide range of stressful circumstances.† Adaptogens also enhance the body’s ability to defend itself by improving immunity and increasing energy, stamina, and endurance.† The chemical constituents responsible for the balancing effects of adaptogens are called saponins, and these exist in many forms. It is believed that the adaptogenic power of an herb is directly proportional to its content and variety of saponins. With 28 saponins, Panax ginseng is renowned as an adaptogen. But jiaogulan contains more than 100 health-giving saponins, which experts proclaim to be more than any other plant in nature. These include powerful gypenoside saponins that are not found in any other species.

†These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine Accepts Freelife Study!

We are pleased to announce that our recent GoChi Effect study has been accepted for publication by the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine (JACM)*. The study will be published in the journal’s July/August 2008 issue.

Before a clinical study is accepted for publication by a peer-reviewed medical journal such as JACM, it must first pass the scrutiny of a panel of independent experts, who review it on a blind basis (i.e., without knowing the author’s identity). These judges will not approve a study for publication unless they have ruled that its design is sound, its methods are consistent with good clinical practice, its data and calculations are accurate, and its findings are valid.

The publication of our study in this highly-regarded journal sets a new standard in our industry for the scientific validation of a product. This clearly demonstrates FreeLife’s commitment to provide you with the most effective, evidence-based and clinically-supported product available in the juice industry, GoChi™.

Entitled: “A Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled, Clinical Study of the General Effects of a Standardized Lycium barbarum (Goji) Juice, GoChi™”, this ground-breaking study shows that GoChi can improve health and well-being in 13 key areas, through a daily serving of just 4 ounces, in as little as 14 days.

*JACM is a medical journal covering the latest in research, theories, and reports in areas of interest to the fields of alternative and complementary medicine. It is published by MaryAnn Liebert, Inc., publisher of well-respected journals about health and medicine such as Journal of Women’s Health, Journal of Medicinal Food, Medical Acupuncture, and Human Gene Therapy.

Here is the letter:
